How it works

Simple from day one

Subscribe to Bindery Pro or Decade

Your affiliate link activates automatically when your subscription starts. Free tier accounts are not eligible. This keeps the program focused on writers who genuinely use and trust the product.

Find your unique affiliate link in Settings

Open Bindery, go to Settings and select the Affiliate tab. Your personal referral link is there, ready to copy. It looks like app.thebindery.xyz/signup?ref=YOUR_CODE.

Share it anywhere writers find you

Your newsletter, your blog, a writing group, a social post, a recommendation to a friend. Anyone who clicks your link and subscribes within 60 days is credited to your account.

Track earnings and request payouts in the app

The Affiliate tab in Settings shows your referred subscribers, active commissions, and total earned. Payouts go out monthly via your payment method of choice once you request them.

If you're already a Pro or Decade subscriber, your link is waiting. Open the app, go to Settings, and look for the Affiliate tab. Your link, your earnings summary, and your payout history are all there.

Common questions

Straight answers

Do I need to apply?
No. Every Pro and Decade subscriber is automatically enrolled. There is nothing to fill out. Your link is live the moment your subscription starts.
Why are free accounts excluded?
The affiliate program is for people who actually use and pay for Bindery. A recommendation from a paying writer carries more weight, and the program stays focused on people with real skin in the game.
How long does the referral window last?
60 days. If someone clicks your link and subscribes within 60 days, the commission is yours. After 60 days the cookie clears and the referral is no longer attributed to you.
When do I get paid?
Payouts are processed monthly. You request a payout from the Affiliate tab in Settings, and it goes out within a few business days. There is no minimum balance required.
What if the person I referred cancels?
Monthly commissions stop when a referred subscriber cancels. Annual commissions are not paid for the renewal year if they cancel before it. Decade commissions are a one-time payment and are not affected by cancellations.
