By creating an account or using Bindery, you agree to these terms. Please read them. They are written to be readable, not to obscure anything.
These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of Bindery (thebindery.xyz and app.thebindery.xyz), operated by Agent Space LLC ("we," "us," or "our"). By using the service, you accept these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the service.
Bindery is a browser-based writing application for drafting, structuring, and revising manuscripts. It includes a text editor, corkboard view, prose analysis tools, character and location sheets, and a reader review portal.
Bindery is currently in beta. Features may change, and we may add or remove functionality at any time. We will try to give reasonable notice of significant changes.
You own everything you write. Your manuscripts are stored locally in your browser and are not transmitted to our servers. We have no access to your manuscript content and claim no rights over it.
Because manuscripts are stored in your browser, you are responsible for backing up your work. Export your manuscripts regularly using the EPUB, PDF, or DOCX export feature. We are not liable for loss of content due to browser data clearing, device failure, or other local storage issues.
You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account credentials. You may not share your account with others or use another person's account without permission. Notify us immediately at hello@thebindery.xyz if you believe your account has been compromised.
The Free tier allows one manuscript and access to all core writing features. The Pro plan ($11 per month, or $9.90 per month billed annually at $118.80 per year) adds unlimited manuscripts, additional export formats, the reviewer portal, version history, writing goals, and publishing integrations. The Decade plan ($831 one-time payment) provides ten years of Pro access at a 30% discount off the annual rate, with a price lock for the duration.
Current pricing is shown on the pricing page. We reserve the right to change pricing for new subscriptions with reasonable notice. Existing paid subscriptions will not have their rate increased during the active subscription period without 30 days advance notice.
The following uses are prohibited.
We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms.
Bindery is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind, express or implied. We do not warrant that the service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that any particular feature will remain available. Your use of the service is at your own risk.
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Agent Space LLC shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from your use of the service, including loss of data.
You agree to indemnify and hold Agent Space LLC harmless from any claim, demand, or damage arising out of your use of the service or violation of these Terms.
Pro and Decade subscribers are automatically enrolled in the Bindery affiliate program. Free tier accounts are not eligible. As an affiliate, you receive a unique referral link. When someone subscribes through your link within 60 days of clicking it, you earn a commission based on their plan.
Commissions are paid monthly on request through the Affiliate tab in Settings. There is no minimum payout threshold. Bindery reserves the right to modify or terminate the affiliate program with 30 days written notice to active participants. Commissions already earned and owed at the time of program termination will be paid out.
In the event that Bindery ceases operations as a business, Decade access subscribers and any active affiliate commissions will be honored for a reasonable wind-down period of no less than 90 days from public notice of closure. After that period, service access and affiliate revenue sharing will end with no further obligation. We will provide written notice to all affected subscribers at the email address on file.
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Iowa, United States. Any disputes shall be resolved in the courts of Iowa. Agent Space LLC is an Iowa limited liability company.
We may update these Terms as the service evolves. When we make material changes, we will update the date at the top of this page. Continued use of Bindery after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
